Sound Baths in West Yorkshire
What to expect at a sound bath
It’s important that you are comfortable so I would recommend wearing warm cosy clothes and socks, unless it’s a glorious hot summer evening of course. Bring a yoga mat and a blanket to lay on and get yourself into a comfortable position. Sleeping on your side or with a bolster cushion under your knees is a good way to be comfortable for a long period. If you have a tendency to snore I would definitely recommend laying on your side! The sounds can often make you fall asleep.
Then close your eyes and listen to the words of the grounding meditation to help you settle into your space. As soon as I start to play the crystal singing bowls, you should start to feel yourself drifting into a deeper state of relaxation. Some people have experienced profound peace or self-awareness and even visualisations during a sound bath. You will notice the chaos in your mind appear to flatline, making it easier to focus and relax.
Afterwards, you should feel immensely relaxed, less stressed, more positive and balanced.
Sounds baths are suitable for most people but if you are epileptic, pregnant, have metal implants or a pace maker or cochlear or have a severe clinical health condition then a sound bath may not be suitable for you.
